The things written here have cost me friends.  The ideas that are just a few clicks away from you at this moment have cost me jobs.  They have kept me up nights and forced me to reevaluate who I am.  They have caused me to doubt everything I know and even hate how I saw myself.  If you read these words you very well may find yourself alone, and alone in the worst way.  So, if you aren’t in a place in your life where you need these words, leave them alone.

If you haven’t been wounded by the church and by Christians to the point where you have given up on both . . . if you haven’t felt totally alone and disconnected in a room full of your “brothers” and “sisters” . . . if you haven’t thought that the way your church is being run is not only bad, but may actually be hurting you . . . if you haven’t been stirred in the middle of the night by visions of a life you know you could be living but you just don’t know how . . . go find another blog.

I mean it.  Go watch “The Landlord” or cage fighting kittens or something.  Because if you aren’t asking the right questions when you wound up here, you will get the wrong answers, and this blog will hurt you.  Badly.

But . . .

If you are lost, if you have given up on the church or Christianity, or at least thought about it, if you have been hurt so badly you can’t even think of giving God or His people another chance, if you are tortured by dreams of a free, passionate, purposeful, even scary life, this is for you.
